Some of you may have heard of the recent product craze that is “cleansing water.” A lot of people seem to think it’s just another way for consumers to spend more money, but I am loving these types of products! Here’s why…
It’s very important to wash your face every night, especially if you wear makeup. If you don’t on a consistent basis you can really age your face… SO WASH YOUR FACE REGULARLY! Sometimes I really don’t feel like going through the whole ordeal when I’m not in the shower though. This product is so simple and has become my go to cleanser outside of the shower. I still use my Clarisonic nightly for a deep clean, but this product is great for the mornings or nights when I don’t shower. You just put a little on a cotton swab and wipe all over your face (I still use a separate makeup remover for my eyes). I recently ran out of the Caudalie Cleansing water (see here), and my boyfriend got me MAC’s version for Christmas… I’m in love!
Below are some pictures of my newest cleansing water. It’s MAC’s Mineralize Charged Water Cleanser, and it literally looks like diamond water. I like this version better than Caudalie as I feel it cleans my face better. Here is a full description: “A lightweight cleanser formulated with our ionized Super-Duo Charged Water technology. Removes all makeup (except waterproof and longwearing) with a wipe – no rinse-off required. Leaves skin nourished, soft, absolutely clean.” I use this in partnership with a makeup remover wipe or cream followed by a moisturizer. You can literally substitute for a cleanser, but I don’t make a habit of using this as the sole cleaner in my skincare routine.
