I have oily skin, and those of us with oily skin have enough to worry about! I want to make it a bit less intimidating when wandering down the makeup aisle. At last – your foundation problems are solved! Look no further than this blog post to solve all your skin type issues for oily skin.
Oily skin is tricky – you want something that will cover shine that doesn’t feel like an entire layer of paint on your face. You want to look natural, enhance your features, and hide any imperfections. It’s important that foundation for oily skin by long lasting as well.
After searching far and wide – I’ve arrived at 3 of my all-time favorites (1 is by far the best I’ve ever used!).
Drumroll…. please…..
The best foundations for oily skin are Covergirl 3 in 1, Jouer Matte Moisture Tint, and Mac Studio Fix Fluid.
Covergirl 3 in 1 in 820 Creamy Natural – The foundation is really great for all skin types, but especially oily skin. The foundation is the most affordable and widely available out of the 3. It’s one of the best drugstore foundations I’ve ever used, and I’d recommend it to anyone. I especially think this product is great for foundation beginners. There is a wide selection of shades and it covers/blends nicely. It’s very long-lasting and probably the most natural looking on the skin of the 3. The other 2 have a bit more “flawless” finish though. This is my go to winter foundation as it’s the lightest of the 3 as well.
Jouer Matte Moisture Tint in Nude – This is my favorite of the 3!! The best foundation I’ve ever used, even though it’s a tinted moisturizer. This product will be every girl with oily skin’s best friend. Unfortunately, it’s pretty pricey – but this product has lasted me for over a year. It’s definitely worth the investment. My skin has never looked better than when wearing this. It’s the most matte and long wearing of all 3. The shade selections are a bit limiting as there are only 5 to pick from. I don’t think this shade is the perfect match for me (as it’s a bit darker), but it’s very close. I can usually even it out with powder, and it’s perfect when I have a tan.
Mac Studio Fix Fluid in NW15 – The was my first high-end foundation and I still love it. It gives you a flawless finish and is very long wearing. It’s also specifically recommended for oily skin. The product is priced in the middle of the 3, and has also lasted me for over a year. I would recommend buying a pump from the Mac Cosmetics store as it will make the product last longer. There is a wide variety of shades for this foundation and a sales associate can help you find your perfect shade. The only downfall of this product is that is does slightly oxidize on your skin at times (slight orange tint). It’s not overwhelming though and never enough to make my skin unnatural looking.
