What is Cleansing Water?

Simple Skincare recently released a “cleansing water” known as their Simple Cleansing Micellar Water. For those of you not in on the cleansing water secret, it’s basically like a lazy girl’s best friend. The watery formula contains skin loving vitamins and mild cleansers to cleanse your face. The concept is a bit strange at first, but soon enough you’ll fall in love.

Until now, cleansing waters have been very hard to find in your local drugstore. They haven’t been very popular in the US until recently. The ones available are either hard to find, very expensive, or don’t seem extremely effective. Simple’s Cleansing Water is the first one that’s widely available and comes at a very affordable cost. It can found at Target, Walmart, CVS, Walgreen’s, and Amazon for around $6. #TestTheWater

How To Use Cleansing Water…

You simply squeeze a generous amount of the formula on a cotton pad and wipe on allover your face. Be sure to wipe gently, no scrubbing necessary. You can also use gently around the eye area. The best part… there’s no rinsing involved afterwards. You simply wipe and toss!

Here are the core “Simple Goodness” components according to Simple:

Triple Purified Water: Our purest possible water to minimize potential for irritation from particles or contaminants that can irritate skin. 

Vitamin B3: Known to restore, soften and smooth skin. It’s especially great for those with dry skin.

Vitamin C: A water soluble antioxidant vitamin for skin.

Hexylene Glycol: Helps dissolve makeup and kindly conditions the skin 

My Review of the Simple Cleansing Micellar Water!

Overall, I love Simple’s Cleansing Micellar Water! It’s my favorite cleansing water I’ve ever used, and that’s going up against Caudalie, Ren Skincare, and MAC.

Most other cleansing waters that I’ve used have also been gentle, but this one provides the best “clean feeling.” My skin truly feels cleansed whether I’m using a quick face wash in the morning, removing makeup, or refreshing my skin throughout the day.

It doesn’t overly dry out your skin, so it’s great to use if you like to wash your face multiple times a day or have sensitive skin. I use this every morning as gentle cleanse to start my day.
