Skincare Solutions for Sensitive Skin

SPF

SPF is extremely important to those of us with sensitive skin, especially if you’re fair in tone like me. The problem with SPF formulations in your moisturizer is that they can be irritating, greasy, and an oily mess.

I’ve found these SPF formulations from First Aid Beauty and Receutics* to be the perfect solution. They are lightweight yet protective enough for my skin. They are gentle and non-irritating to use on a daily basis not just for beach or pool days.

I often use these moisturizers just on their own when I know I’ll be in the sun underneath my makeup on a freshly cleansed face. I use an SPF EVERY DAY as a part of my skin care routine. It’s one of the best things you can do for your skin throughout life.

Anti-Aging

Anti-aging products can be rough on sensitive skin, especially ones with more potent ingredients. I like to look for products with Vitamin C in them to combat first signs of aging.

Both of these products from Korres and Receutics* do a great job of repairing your skin with a gentle touch. I like to use both of these products at night. First I apply the Korres Wild Rose serum followed by the Receutics Rapid Wrinkle Corrector cream.

Moisture

Adding moisture back into sensitive skin is key for a happy life. I like to pick moisturizers with no added scents or special ingredients (including SPF). Keep your moisturizer basic and use other products for those purposes if you need to.

My all-time favorite sensitive skin moisturizer is Ren’s Evercalm. It’s perfect to combat chronic discomfort, redness and sensitivity to ensure skin glows. I also like to use Receutics* Therapeutic line when my skin is feeling itchy or extra uncomfortable. I typically use this product as a spot treatment or on my neck and chest. It’s important to properly moisturize these areas as well!
