How To: Sample Sale

The Friday before last I went to my first “official” sample sale in LA! I started following WILDFOX, a clothing brand that I like, on Facebook. They post their sample sales on the page as well. I learned one Friday a month this building in DTLA turns into sample sale heaven with dozens of designers. I also know they do sample sales in DTLA every Saturday, but this was different.

The sales take place at the Cooper Design Space, some Yelpers have helpful tips (check it out here).

See pictures below of my experience! Next time, I hope to explore more of the showrooms and not be in such a rush. I would recommend bringing cash as it’s mostly the only form of payment accepted. Wear tight clothes that you can throw clothes on and off of to try on. Bring your own bags as most stores have none. Pick anything and everything up that you like – find a spot to go through it all later. You’ll regret leaving something, and it will most likely be gone later.

WILDFOX had really cute stuff and most everything was around $20-$60, when it’s normally $80-$300. The only downside was all the digging required to find the good stuff. I snagged a SUPER SUPER comfy diamond crewneck and a White Label cardigan that was normally about $300! (pictured below).
