The Best Hair Salon in LA

When I first moved to LA, it was a struggle trying to find the best salon for curly hair in the area. I came across across a few bad eggs before I found the perfect hair salon, The Establishment in Silverlake. Their salon seems perfect for every hair type, color, and length. All their customers seem so happy with their haircuts, including me!

I think finding the perfect stylist for you at the salon is key to a great experience. I tried out a few different stylists, before I found Jennifer Sarchet. She is amazing!! The hair color and highlights she has given me have honestly been the best I’ve ever gotten. She also knows curly hair extremely well – her expertise is very apparent during my hair cuts. I’ve been thrilled with the results each time I leave the salon. It’s a miracle anytime you can find someone that knows how to deal with curly hair! She has created some awesome texture with layers in my thick, curly hair – which isn’t easy to do.

I also like Jennifer, because it’s never awkward sitting in the chair for 2+ hours. She is friendly and professional. It can sometimes be awkward when you have nothing to chat with a stylist about or a bit unrelaxing when they are too invasive or hyper. Jennifer is nothing like that, and is always a joy to chat with! Her head massages are also very relaxing. I usually get a trim, shorter bangs, all-over layers, and different shades of blonde highlighting. This time I received a mix of lighter blonde highlights and darker strawberry blonde low lights. Her coloring lasts forever and grows out beautifully. I only visit the salon 2-3 times a year.
