L’Oréal has raised the stakes. No longer is the iconic drug store brand sticking to the basics. Their Kérastase hair care line exudes luxury, above and beyond what the typical drugstore line can offer. I’ve sampled Kérastase in my Birchbox, and was lucky enough to receive this deluxe gift set*.
The Elixir Ultime line of hair care uses key technology rooted in the oléo-complexe:
- Maize Oil: Delivers emollient and anti-oxidant active ingredients for ultimate shine
- Pracaxi Oil: Brings shine, nourishment and deep conditioning to the hair
- Camellia Oil: Helps smooth the hair fiber, resulting in incredible shine
- Argan Oil: Helps restore strength to the hair and protects it from external aggressors
Kérastase Elixir Ultime is a versatile nourishing oil that provides ultimate shine, softness and nourishment for all hair types. The line is silicone and paraben-free as well.
I must say after trying this shampoo and mask combination out – my hair has never felt better! The products smell amazing, and the scent actually stays around for several hours after showering. They detangle gently, leaving hair silky and soft. This particular line works well for all hair types, making my curls look amazing after drying! The only downfall of these products is the hefty price tag. At between $40-$65 – that leaves you with a $100+ haircare regimen, which is just too much for me. While I love, love, love the products – I just can’t justify the price tag! Let me know if you’ve also tried the L’Oréal Kérastase line.
