If you’re at all like me, then you’re already thinking about the holidays… Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve are all right around the corner! There’s so much happening from parties to dinners to presents! A perfect red lip is the perfect accessory for all occasions around the holiday time. A red lip brings any look together and adds the perfect festive touch.
However, creating the perfect red lip is not easy! Red lips can be messy and high maintenance. I’ve pulled together 3 easy red lips for a variety of tastes. In order to create a long-lasting red lip, you’ll need to properly prep your lips – be sure to exfoliate and lightly moisturize. After you apply your lipstick, blot lightly onto a tissue and top with translucent powder for a long-lasting effect.
Look #1: BOLD! This Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso is probably the best lipstick & liner all in one product I’ve ever used. The applicator tip is skinny enough to serve as a liner, and you can fill in the rest of your lips with a more liberal touch. I love this formula because it’s long-lasting, bold, and shiny!
Look #2: Low Maintenance & Natural. Lip stains are the best for anyone who seems to spear lipstick all over their face throughout the night (we’ve all been there!). This Stainaic from the Balm in Beauty Queen is the perfect solution. This shade has a more pinky tint that comes across more natural than a true red shade. This product easily blends into lips, be sure to smooth out with your fingers for a matte, natural look.
Look #3: Classic. This Covergirl Lipperfection formula is one of my all time favorite lipsticks. Every shade is long-lasting and easy to apply. This beautiful red shade is called Seduce. It applies smoothly on the lips and survives anything from pumpkin pie to that New Year’s kiss! It comes across as a very classic red lip that never goes out of style.
Happy Holidays!
Are any of these good for not getting red lipstick all over the boyfriend? Mine rather dislikes when I give him a matching red lip haha.
Such amazing reds! I’ve been so looking forward to wearing a red lip since winter has been approaching.
