Summer 2015 Nail Trend Guide

Summer Nail Trend Guide

Summer officially kicks off this weekend! You know what that means, time to welcome all the summer nail trends for 2015. I’ve scoured the spring and summer 2015 runway shows to discover what’s in for summer.

Red Hues – I’m so glad red is no longer just a holiday color! You can replicate the trend with a classic red shade or a more traditional summer shade such as bold red-orange.

Runway Inspiration: Zac Posen, Carolina Herrera, & Jenny Packham

Half Nail Accents – Painting a part of your nail is all the rage this season. it’s such a fun look for a vacation or special event. Whether it be a slanted line, straight line, rounded patterns, or half moons, these designs give any manicure an artistic element.

Nude Nails – I think nude nails can be done for every season. Nude summer nails tend to be more white or peach toned in shade. Spice it up with some simple dotted designs or gemstones on your nude polish as well!

Runway Inspiration: Lela Rose, Kate Spade, & Houghton

Peach Tones – In my opinion, peaches will always be a classic summer shade. Peaches come in a wide range of tones to fit every personality from corals to pinks.

Runway Inspiration: Alice + Olivia & Veronica Beard

Blue Gray White Manicures – This might be the hardest trend to replicate, but my favorite! These shades combine some beautiful cool tones to mimic the ocean and pool waters associated with summertime. I’d recommend trying out an ombre design using a makeup sponge in multiple layers using these colors.

Runway Inspiration: Nanette Lepore & Angel Sanchez
